At the end of each afternoon, at 5.15 p.m., there will be a lecture about the concert that will be given in the Main Hall that evening (which can be followed in the Mahler Pavilion by live stream).

During the first weekend of the Mahler Festival, a two-day symposium will be held, organised by the International Gustav Mahler Society and the Gustav Mahler Stichting Nederland, which will study in greater depth the relationship between Mahler and the texts he set to music.

  • In the rest of Amsterdam, there will also be plenty of experiences to be gained during the Mahler Festival. In the Rijksmuseum, you can visit an exhibition about Willem Mengelberg, the initiator of the first Mahler Festival in 1920.
