Free livestreams on the Museum Square of the evening concerts
During the Mahler Nights on Museum Square, the evening concerts will be livestreamed via large screen every night.
From May 8 to 18, all of Mahler's symphonies will be performed during the Mahler Festival. The concerts are sold out, but in celebration of Amsterdam 750, the eleven evening concerts in the Main Hall will also be free to enjoy during the Mahler Nights on Museumplein. There, the Mahler Pavilion will rise, offering space for 2,000 visitors with three grandstands and a covered plaza. A 10-meter-high LED screen and an immersive audio system will ensure an optimal experience. In addition to the concerts, highlights of the festival and documentaries from the Mahler's Universe series made especially for the festival will be shown. For food and drinks, visitors can visit various food trucks.
General director Simon Reinink says: 'This festival brings the top of the international music world to The Concertgebouw, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. With the Mahler Pavilion, we make these unique concerts open to everyone.'
