Klaus Mäkelä leads the Concertgebouw Orchestra in Mahler's First Symphony. A stormy, lyrical and inventive piece of music full of images and sounds of nature.

During the Mahler Nights in the Vondelpark, you can watch the concert in the Main Hall for free! Via large screen, every evening. The Vondelpark Open Air Theatre will be transformed into the Mahler Pavilion. This will create Amsterdam's most beautiful music cinema, with images and sound of the highest quality. With two stands and a covered square, the Pavilion will offer space for 1,500 visitors. There will be catering facilities where visitors can get food and drinks. In the greenery, with rustling trees and singing birds, the Mahler Pavilion in the Vondelpark is a unique place to experience Mahler's fantastic music!
