Enjoy the Mahler Festival in the Vondelpark
During the Mahler Nights in the Mahler Pavilion in the Vondelpark, from 8 to 18 May, all evening concerts of the Mahler Festival in The Concertgebouw can be followed free of charge. In a unique ambience, the concerts will be broadcast live in picture and sound of the highest quality.
Good to know
- Entry to the Mahler Pavilion is free
- It is not necessary or possible to make reservations.There is space for around 1,500 visitors.
- Arrive on time: full is full!
Programme Thursday 8 May to Sunday 18 May
- From 16.00: continuous Mahler programme
- 19.45: short documentary about the symphony on the programme this evening (more info on the programme here)
- 20.15: start of the concert
- end time: is variable. You can find the end time for each concert in the concert calendar.
Practical information
- The Mahler Pavilion is located in the Vondelpark Open Air Theatre. Directions (in Dutch)
- The Pavilion is covered. So even when it rains, the live stream will continue.
- Bringing your own food and drinks is not allowed. Catering facilities are available in and around the Mahler Pavilion.
- Bringing dogs is not allowed. However, an officially trained assistance dog (such as a guide dog) is allowed.
- The Open Air Theatre is fully paved and there are wide paths, so is easily accessible with a wheelchair. It is not necessary to make reservations.
- There are toilets.
